'On The Waterfront' - Black Country Investment To Move To New Home In Brierley Hill Regeneration Zone
Black Country Investment, part of the Black Country Consortium, is to move to a new headquarters in Waterfront House (formerly the Deck House) at The Waterfront, Brierley Hill. They will be taking the ground floor of the refurbished building, around 8,000 sq ft in total, and will be moving its 60 staff from existing offices in Oldbury, Wolverhampton University and Walsall under one roof at its new location in early 2007.
Launched in May 2001, Black Country Investment (BCI) offers a business relocation service to businesses from both within and outside the Black Country. As part of Black Country Consortium, BCI is committed to supporting new investment in the area which is vital in helping the Black Country become a more attractive location for businesses to relocate to. Through its relationship with key decision makers in both the public and private sectors, it seeks to create the right environment for investors and employers to do business.
BCI’s Director Charles Roach says the move is all about operating from the right environment: “By moving here to an aspirational location we are making a statement of intent – that the Black Country is an attractive place to live and work. Brierley Hill is a vibrant package of positive location, excellent workforce, and rapidly up and coming facilities and transport infrastructure that will be the envy of most other locations in five years time – and then continue to grow and broaden in appeal for a further ten years as investment keeps on being pumped into this area. By moving here we are setting standards for others to follow – encouraging others to recognise the potential here and investigate the exciting plans for the future. We’re helping turn the Brierley Hill Regeneration vision into a reality and we’re delighted to be in on the ground floor – in more ways than one!”
The recent launch of the highly impressive Daniel’s Wharf office development is yet another reason to look seriously at the Brierley Hill area as a prime location for business in the years ahead.
