Celebrity Chef Cooks up a Treat for Launch of Daniels Wharf Development in Brierley Hill
Celebrity chef Brian Turner of ‘Ready Steady Cook’, ‘Great Food Live’ and ‘This Morning’ fame and TV personality and link man Paul Hendy, who made his name presenting ‘Wheel of Fortune’ and ‘Don’t try this at home’ with Davina McCall, gave the impressive new Daniels Wharf office development in Brierley Hill a stunning launch at an event held on 21st September within a stone’s throw of where the new development will stand.
More than one hundred invited guests watched Brian cook their lunch on stage whilst the whole event was filmed by a broadcast TV crew. Paul Hendy did a great job of linking the one hour show that saw the launch of the new office development and the Brian Turner ‘roadshow’ providing all the information the guests needed about where the new office development fitted in with the Brierley Hill regeneration plan – and a great lunch!
The Daniels Wharf office development in Brierley Hill is hoped to be the ‘kick start’ to a massive regeneration project that will see new homes, new work space, new transport infrastructure and new jobs for this important area of the Black Country.
The new development will provide a total of 112,444 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation over two buildings – one providing 60,444 sq ft (split between five floors of office space and a 2,600 sq ft restaurant) and the second 52,000 sq ft.
The first building, No1 Daniels Wharf – which offers more than 130 car parking spaces on site together with a further 100 spaces just 2 minutes walk away - will sit right alongside the Dudley canal and has the advantage of being part of one of the most successful office and retail developments in the UK. Adjacent to the offices will be a residential scheme of around 180 apartments.
Westfield’s Steven Hassel said: “These are exciting times and this is a major development for us. We feel it marks the launch of the Brierley Hill regeneration activity that will see huge changes in the years ahead in this area. We’re proud to be part of this important project and feel confident that this will be a pivotal moment in the growth of the area. We feel sure it will attract significant new and major players to Brierley Hill. Daniels Wharf is the first new purpose-built office space in the region for a long time and was located here as it formed part of Westfield Group's commitment to develop the area between Merry Hill and the High Street.”
KWB, together with joint agents Knight Frank, are acting on behalf of Westfield in the marketing of this scheme.
